The University of Leeds MBZIRC team consists of researchers and engineers gathered from different disciplines and institutes throughout the university. The team of 18 researchers currently includes 5 postdoctoral researchers, 2 PhDs, and 9 Masters Project students. In addition to the core team there is also a dedicated Masters level module taught to over 40 students working towards developing solutions to problems inspired by the MBZIRC challenges. Together, the team bring the best ideas from different departments into the MBZIRC challenge.

The University of Leeds supports the team with an outstanding environment to advance robotics science and make a concrete impact on society thanks to the unique breadth of capabilities and resources available on campus. At the Real Robotics Lab there is a focus on developing robots that improve people’s lives, their cities and their environment.
