Team JSK Robotics Lab from the University of Tokyo

JSK Robotics lab of the University of Tokyo, has a history of over 40 years in robotics research, and has developed various robots including human-like robots. Recently, JKS Robotics expanded into a new field: applying its knowledge into aerial robotics. Their novel aerial robot, which can change its shape in the air, has been a proud achievement. The research on this new type of robot received several awards, including IEEE ICRA Best Paper Award on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in 2018, which is the best award for an aerial robot in the world.

In the Mohammed Bin Zayed International Robotics Challenge 2020, team JSK Robotics will unveil the amazing ability of their deformable robot in all tasks. They will use this aerial robot as a human arm or hand to catch the target ball in the air, grasp and place bricks, and also manipulate a blanket to do firefighting. Seven members with exceptional talent in Team JSK are very excited to show you the unprecedented performance by their robot. So don't miss it!
